How to use this tool
- Select the language for each version of your page from the dropdown.
- Enter the full URL for that language version.
- Add more rows for each language you support.
- Always add an x-default row pointing to your main/fallback page.
- Copy the tags and paste them into the
<head>of every page in your set.
What are hreflang tags?
Hreflang tags tell Google which language and regional version of a page to show to users in different countries. Without them, Google may show the wrong language version to users — hurting click rates and rankings.
The tags must be added to every page in a hreflang set — each page must reference all other pages including itself.
